Pride Health is hiring a Medical Back Office Assistant for one of its clients in California.
This is a pure 3-month contract opportunity with competitive pay and benefits.
Job Title: Back Office Assistant
Pay Range: $22.00/hr. to $28.00/hr.
Location: Laguna Hill, CA, 92653
Duration: 3 months
Shift: M-F - 8 am to 5 pm
Job Summary
Under supervision, the Back Office Assistant performs a variety of back office and clerical duties in support of patient care activities, ensuring even patient flow and continuous communication with RNs, employees, and leaders.
Job Duties
- The Back Office Assistant greets and assists patients, answers phones, schedules appointments, and escorts patients to their rooms.
- This role collects and records patient vital signs (BP, TPR, height, and weight), and promptly reports unusual observations or changes in patient condition.
- Assists physician with examinations and procedures within the scope of their job.
- Provide patients with information as directed.
- Cleans exam room and instruments and maintains and organizes supplies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Required Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Preferred Education:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
- Required Certifications & Licensure:
- BLS certification.
- Graduate of Medical Assistant program or equivalent work experience.
- Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum one (1) year of previous medical back-office experience, preferably within an acute healthcare system environment.
- Basic keyboarding skills at 35 WPM.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
