PDQ Staffing is seeking an experienced Production Helper to join and weld metal pieces at our Garland metal fabrication company. SUMMARY OF CLASSIFICATION:
This description summarizes the requirements of a Production Helper employee. Responsible for assisting production work in the factory environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Maintain a safe work environment (i.e., use of personal protective equipment, proper lifting techniques, etc.).
- Start up and stop equipment.
- Familiarize yourself with the tools and instrumentation.
- Clean production areas (sweep, mop, and remove debris).
- Load and unload items from machines, carts, and dollies.
- Feed or place items onto equipment for processing.
- Mark parts for identification.
- Place equipment on the conveyor belt for further processing.
- Scrape waste material from the machine.
- Take instructions from management/supervisory staff.
- Conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste.
- Work from routings, manufacturing instruction sheets, blueprints, visual aids, or other instructions to manufacture products at required quality levels.
- Assemble Components accurately, thoroughly, and quickly to approved specifications.
