Description
The Department of Goochland County Parks and Recreation is seeking part-time seasonal Summer Camp Leader to assist the Recreation Coordinator and implementation of Summer Camp 2024. Schedule for this position is 8:30am-2:15 pm, Monday through Friday 4-5 days a week. This is a 25-30-hour week position with no benefits ending mid-August.
Essential Functions
- 18 or older
- Provides assistance to Recreation Coordinator in direct program implementation.
- Lead day to day activities.
- Reports all issues to Recreation Coordinator.
- Discusses all child disciplinary to parents and Recreation Coordinator.
- Oversees Summer Camp Aides during Summer Camp Day
- Helps monitor child during program
- Assist in cleaning before, during, and after program.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities This position requires the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; the ability to maintain effective working relationships and the ability to provide excellent customer service. Applicants should be comfortable working with the public.
As part of employment with Goochland County, all employees are required to complete Emergency preparedness and incident management training courses as directed or requested.
