**Canopy Cove** is a leading private, residential Eating Disorder Treatment Center, located on a beautiful 55 acre private setting in Tallahassee, Florida. We are looking for a **full-time** **Food Preparation/Dietary Assistant.** The Food Preparation workers main responsibility is to prepare, cook, serve and clean up all meals. Food preparation workers accept responsibilities from the Clinical Director/Quality Assurance Coordinator. **$1,000 Sign On Bonus for qualified candidates!**
**Shift: Weeknights and weekends 12pm-6pm and weekends 7am-3pm or 1pm-6pm**

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Prepares, cooks and serves all meal in accordance with Department of Health regulations
Follows and serves meals according to residential schedules.
Coordinates purchasing of foodstuffs.
Assists in weekly grocery trips.
Keeps kitchen clean and organized
Monitors food areas for compliance, including food preparation and storage.
Completes weekly Department of Health checklists and submits to
supervisor.
Role models appropriate social skills during all activities on and off-site.
Serves as advisor and positive role model for all clients.
Maintains and submits mandatory reports and documentation
**JOB QUALIFICATIONS:**
Knowledge of dietary and nutritional principles, practices and techniques.
Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
Strong written & verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team
Ability to exercise good judgment.
Good organizational, time management & problem solving skills.
Knowledge of all standards regarding ethics, confidentiality, abuse reporting, and documentation.
Ability to learn and apply a variety of policies and procedures.
Ability to relate to individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and to work with them in a fair, supportive and cooperative manner
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
Must be at least 18 years of age & have a valid Drivers License.
Must have a High School diploma or GED.
Experience working in a medical, psychiatric, nursing, or child care setting or working with developmentally disabled persons
Experience in food service or hospitality industries or an equivalent combination of education & experience.
Must pass a Level I background check which includes fingerprinting.
-Must possess or obtain CPR certification within first two weeks of hire date
