Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Receiving, stocking, preparation and shipping of merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Drive/Operate forklift and electronic pallet jack
- Pick merchandise from slots
- Load merchandise into trucks
- Drop merchandise from "reserve" to "pick" slots
- Prepare "Via" merchandise for shipment on freight lines
- Repack loose merchandise
- Ability to lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly each shift while bending, stooping, climbing, standing and twisting for extended periods of time
- Performs house keeping duties as assigned
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
- Ability to lift 70-100 lbs. occasionally
External Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma from an accredited institution or GED equivalent
- Ability to successfully complete forklift training/certification requirements
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
