Job Summary
The Program Manager supports the growth and development of the Center for Architecture, Science & Ecology (CASE) in Brooklyn, NY through the coordination of its administrative operations, grants pursuit, and marketing / communications programs. With support from the Division of Research staff, the Program Manager ensures that the day-to-day operations of the Center s office are managed within institute standards. In addition, the Program Manager enhances the visibility of the design, research, and sustainability activities at CASE, and strengthens relationships with constituencies to develop messaging and collateral, and promote CASE both online and through events.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field
Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in communications, public relations, grants management and/or non-profit organization or other closely related field
Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with graphics and social media applications
Experience in fundraising or non-profit grant management
Experience coordinating or directly managing communication campaigns and events
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrated planning, organizing and effective time management skills; strong attention to detail; skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
An understanding of the tasks needed for effective office management
Must possess a passion for higher education and the intellectual ability to digest and create stories from complex STEM-related content.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse group of constituents.
A grasp of the grant proposals, awards, and accounting processes
Ability to plan and execute constituent focused events
Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Ability to work individually or as part of a team
Demonstrated success in meeting deadlines, adapting to changing priorities, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to deal with a variety of situations; and be able to shift gears as needed
Ability to regularly report progress effectively
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives
Proficiency in MS Office Suite software applications and any industry specific software applications
Starting Salary/Rate
Expected hiring range: $72,000 - $80,000 (includes a 20% work location differential)

This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
