THE POSITION

The Operations Specialist will support CFE operation initiatives and provide assistance and support to the President & CEO. This role reports to the Operations Manager. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated experience in scheduling, preparing reports, and compiling materials. Additionally, the candidate must have the ability to multi-task, effectively set priorities, and diplomatically manage competing requests. The ideal candidate is a team player who is mission-focused, creative, self-motivated, and demonstrates a positive attitude.

This position will be based out of our office in Washington, DC.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the office's day-to-day operations, including monitoring institutional inboxes, maintaining office supply inventory, receiving mail, and handling facility issues, including liaising with our co-working facility.
  • Support the President and CEO with event travel and calendar along with other initiatives as needed.
  • Assist with supporting the Board of Directors, including scheduling meetings, compiling Board meeting documents, and updating board member contact information.
  • Support the management team with administrative tasks, communication, and special projects.
  • Maintain and organize physical and electronic files, ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and archiving and retention policies.
  • Support with planning, preparing and executing various on and off-site-company events or meetings.
  • Manage all professional tools and subscriptions the company uses, including contracts, credentials, and licenses for team members.
  • Support day-to-day financial operations with the finance team by processing accounts payable and reimbursements.
  • Support budget tracking while ensuring adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
  • Financial responsibility may include purchasing, processing invoices, and contracting with vendors.
  • Own and manage special projects and initiatives with agency and support from the Operations team.
  • Assist with the administration of various operations as needed.


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, and EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of CDFI operations and regulations is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using office software and management systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the CDFI sector.


Salary Description

$56,000 to $65,000 commensurate to experience
