IPL Macro, a division of IPL, is currently recruiting for a Quality/EHS Manager to join our dynamic team. This position will be based in our Shelbyville, KY facility.

Macro Plastics is the worlds largest manufacturer of bulk plastic containers. Based in in North America with sales and manufacturing facilities located worldwide, providing innovative business solutions for the agricultural, food processing, retail, and industrial markets.

The Quality/EHS Manager is responsible for performing various tasks to maintain Quality and Environmental Management Systems such as internal audits, quality planning, environmental compliance activities, metrics tracking and reporting, and development of improvement plans. The Quality/EHS Manager will also make necessary responses for customers who request quality documents related to company processes and certifications. The Quality Manager/EHS serves as Managements representative during applicable ISO certification audits and is the primary leader of QMS/EMS activities and requirements.

**Responsibility:**

**Quality and Environment: Management of activities related to quality and environmental management (EMS);**

* Oversee the implementation, review, and maintenance of the quality management system (QMS) and environmental management system (EMS).

* Responsible for validating and verifying any major change to our quality or environmental systems and making required changes to the program documents.

* Plan, coordinate, delegate and / or carry out and report to management all internal audits of IPL's quality and environmental management systems.

* Participate as a member of multidisciplinary teams, such as being part of a team responsible for pursuing the mission of continuous improvement in accordance with the company's objectives.

* Follow up on legal requirements (federal, state, municipal, or other laws and regulations) in collaboration with external firms.

* Perform all other tasks required by the position and depending on the circumstances.

**Health and Safety: Actively participate in the management of activities related to health and safety strategies, policies, processes, and regulations;**

* Participate in the implementation of health and safety strategies and identifying possible avenues for continuous improvement of health and safety awareness campaigns.

* Participate in the analysis of accident and incident reports, participate in investigations with supervisors and make recommendations on actions to be taken and follow up on action plans to resolve incidents.

* Prepare, plan, and monitor the health and safety steering committee for the local facility.

* Participate in the planning and monitoring of health and safety inspection visits to facilities.

* Collaborates with the global IPL group in the sharing of information, strategy, and activities.

* Perform all other tasks required by the position and depending on the circumstances.

****Safety & Sustainability Expectations:****

* Knowledge of current OSHA, Quality (ISO 9001) and Environment (ISO 14001) standards.

**Qualifications & Skill Requirements:**

* Proactive participation in daily housekeeping programs to maintain a clean and neat working environment. Reporting of any safety concerns. Follow all Safety Rules and Regulations.

* Previous experience managing multi-site ISO-9001 and/or 14001 systems and registrations.

* Knowledgeable in GD&T, Statistical Process Control, document control, CAR/PAR process, and sampling plans.

**Minimum Qualifications, Education, Certifications or equivalents:**

* High School Diploma or equivalent.

* OHS, EHS, or QMS certification in management or Diploma preferred.

* Certification or significant experience in environment management.

* Certification or significant experience in quality monitoring.

* Lean Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred.

**Experience:**

* 2 to 5 years of experience with QMS, OHS or EHS management.

* Significant experience with management of quality assurance systems or equivalent.

* Have relevant experience as a factory internal auditor for management systems or quality assurance in a manufacturing company.

**Additional Qualifications - Competency Requirements:**

* Oral and Written Communication skills. Perform basic math functions, basic computer skills.

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite software, particularly Microsoft Excel (intermediate / advanced level).

* Have a good management of priorities and a sense of organization.
