Role: Property Accountant

Location: Silver Spring, MD (on-site)

Pay Rate: $29 - $34/hr - (Depending on experience)

Salary: $65k - 75k

Type: Contract to hire

Our client in Silver Spring, MD is currently seeking a Property Accountant to join their team! This is a fast-paced environment and the ideal candidate should be able to jump in quickly. This candidate will be managing over 5 books for 5+ properties and should have experience closing books, month & year-end, reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries, as well as preparing and analyzing financial reports.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Closing books
  • Month & year-end
  • Reconciliations
  • Accruals
  • Journal entries
  • Preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries
  • Preparing and analyzing financial reports

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, or Business-related field
  • Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • 3-6+ years of related experience
  • Strong communication skills
