Test and Evaluation Engineer

to work with one of our national aerospace and defense partners based in

Manassas,

VA .

An Active DoD Secret Clearance is required for this

Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Test and Evaluation Engineer

Type:

W-2, Contract

Location:

100% onsite in Manassas, VA

Pay:

$43.00 - $48.00 per hour

The Test and Evaluation Engineer works as part of a team in charge of designing, developing, producing, integrating, and sustaining the Common Weapon Launcher (CWL) on both U.S. and Australian submarines, as well as the Multi-Tube Weapon Simulator (MTWS) on U.S. and Foreign Military submarines. The CWL and MTWS team collaborates closely with the Navy, internal production teams, and industry partners to ensure the flawless delivery and operation of these critical systems in laboratory and submarine environments.

Job Responsibilities:Develop comprehensive test proceduresUse measurement tools, such as oscilloscopes and multimetersConduct Verification and Validation for corrective changesPerform installations, rip-outs, testing, and validation of tactical systemsAssist in configuring the lab in accordance with relevant drawings and port mapsSupport informal and formal test events, as well as other customer-driven test activitiesIdentify, analyze, and document software, firmware, and hardware defects and collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve issuesSupport the Logistics team in the development of installation and operation proceduresEmploy a professional and confident approach when working with various engineering groups and external entities to define, document, analyze, conduct, and interpret testsIdentify functional issues and propose effective resolutionsOperate in a fast-paced, integrated product development team comprising professionals from multiple contracting organizations and DoD laboratory entitiesDevelop and analyze test cases while providing regular progress updatesSome travel required (in support of test events in government labs, as well as shipboard installations in domestic and international locations).

Required Skills/Qualifications:Active DoD Secret ClearanceBachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience OR 3 years with a master's degree, to include experience with all of the following:

Software testing and analysisExperience with AN/BYG-1, AN/BQQ-10, AN/BLQ-10 or Submarine Weapon LaunchersMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)General knowledge of network configurations, operations, and commands.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:Navy or Submarine experience
