Dynamic and growing retail company is now seeking a Project Manager of Construction!


As the Project Manager of Construction, you will be responsible for partnering with the Operations Team to ensure all store design projects are properly contract and completed on time and within budget. This position supports Airports and/or Casino/Resorts throughout North America.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with the day-to-day organization and performance of all aspects of new store construction, remodels and refurbishments, and all other special projects within the department
  • Create and maintain project files for each project
  • Responsible for the overall coordination and documentation of the project life cycle following the completion of Construction Documents through to the submission of close-out documentation
  • Work closely with Sr. Director, Construction Management and VP, Design + Construction to identify, procure and contract with qualified construction contractors.
  • Manage the bidding process with both outside general contractors and internal WHSNA (MRG/IMEG) self-procured contracts and products.
  • Responsible for tracking the day-to-day progress against the budget and the project construction schedule and flagging complications/irregularities at the earliest possible moment.
  • Maintain written budget documents (approved capex vs. spend, to include COR s in budget spreadsheets ) throughout the life of the each project.
  • Effectively communicate project requirements and coordinate with various contractors, designers and vendors to ensure those requirements are met
  • Communicate on progress and/or construction issues for each project with Sr. Director, Construction Management as well other team members
  • Facilitate in establishing project scope, goals, and deliverables with the outside GC and internal parties on several multifaceted projects simultaneously in conjunction with day-to-day activities
  • Develop and maintain positive/productive relationships with airport and concessionaire staff, outside consultants, vendors as well as other teams within the organization
  • To conduct him/herself in the spirit of the WHSNA (MRG/IMEG) mission, vision, core values and organizational health
  • Other duties may be assigned


What You Bring

  • B.S. degree in Engineering or Construction Management or B.A. degree in Architecture helpful
  • 3-5 years of experience with a commercial construction, design, or architectural firm, preferably
  • Basic knowledge of construction accounting
  • Understanding of construction industry terms, means, and methods associated with tenant improvement work within multi-retail unit properties, preferably in travel locations and/or Casino/Resort properties.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time to remote sites throughout North America with little notice
  • Familiarity with PMI Project Management best practices
  • Advanced computer skills, including Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office (WORD, Excel.)
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Desire to work as a team with a result-driven approach
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Satisfactory Criminal Background Check and Drug Testing May be required depending upon location
  • Additional Security clearance may be required depending upon location
