Look no further! Man with developmental disabilities (Angelman Syndrome) seeks a caring and kind person to assist him with the activities of daily living, recreational and social activities. Although he has disabilities, he is not defined by them. Just like everyone else, he likes to hang out with friends and family, be out in the community, get outside and have a good time.
Days are busy, active and engaging as he participates daily in activities through Highland Friendship Club, a St. Paul based non-profit that provides social activities to those with developmental and physical disabilities.
The ideal candidate need not have experience working with people with disabilities. Though prior experience is a plus, kindness, caring, compassion and a quick study are the most important qualities for the position. Must be responsible, dependable, energetic, attentive and safety conscious.
This position requires a one-year commitment to the position. Pay is excellent and though shifts are fixed 8-4, 4-11 & 11-8am, the weekly schedule is flexible.
