**Johnstone Supply is classified as an essential business. Our regular starting pay rate for Material Handler positions is $15.50 per hour, however we have increased our pay by $2.00 per hour through May 1, 2021.**
**Essential Job Results** :
- Receives product into the Las Vegas Distribution Center by unloading trucks using forklift, pallet jack, electric pallet or by hand.
- Ensures shipments received are in good condition and accurate by: inspecting freight for damage and signing freight bills; verifying quantity ordered versus quantity received; checking all shipments against packing lists; and completing necessary paperwork for reimbursements or discrepancies.
- Ensures all required product has verified bar code labels and human readable Johnstone stock numbers by scanning products, printing labels, resolving labeling discrepancies, and completing necessary paperwork.
- Stores checked-in products by stocking picking stock, filling bin boxes, facing cartons, checking for product mixing, and rotating product where needed.
- Ensures products are readily available to order fillers by: monitoring stock on shelves or bins; replenishing picking stock from reserves; maintaining control of products in reserve stock area; and monitoring "Pull Tickets" and giving priority to Shipping department requests.
- Maintains current department accuracy and efficiency standards, and follows department standard operating procedures.
- Maintains a safe work environment by working in a safe manner, following current Distribution safety rules, maintaining equipment, and maintaining a clean work area.

- Assists the Shipping Department with order filling and packing when needed.
- Trains new employees in Material Handler's duties by modeling duties and answering questions.

**Physical Demands & Work Environment:**

*Physical:*While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk on a concrete floor through a warehouse for the majority of the workday. The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and lift up to 50 pounds. The individual is occasionally required to talk or hear; taste or smell; and lift up to 70 pounds. Special vision requirements are distance vision; peripheral vision, and color vision.
*Warehouse Environment*: Large warehouse with racks and bins, most work is performed using forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanner. Climate can be warm or cool depending on the season, but not extremely hot or cold.
