Description

BHFO IS ONE OF THE LARGEST AND MOST TRUSTED OUTLETS OF DESIGNER CLOTHING, SHOES, AND ACCESSORIES ONLINE. We are growing our data entry department and looking for individuals who are detail oriented, can type at least 40wpm and thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Summary: The Data Entry Associate - is responsible for creating product listings in the BHFO inventory system. The Data Entry Associate will physically handle Clothing/Shoes & Accessories and is responsible for entering each item into our catalog database. The associate must use independent judgement as well as product guidelines to determine appropriate product categories and word choice. At times, the Data Entry Associate will need to enter additional information including measurements, key words, fashion terminology, and information about flaws or defects. Associates must be accurate and detailed in their work. Information entered by the Product Listing Associate will appear as the product description for online sales. Data Entry Associates will use a handheld scanner, computer, and other equipment to create the product listings. Associates must work safely and efficiently and should be flexible to handle changes in direction and product types. This position requires frequent bending, lifting, reaching, standing, and fine motor skills.

Essential Duties:

  • Record data accurately into computer database.
  • Identify and describe all product types such as apparel, home goods, shoes/accessories, etc.
  • Input product specifications such as measurements, fabric types and key words.
  • Review product listing for key information and accuracy. Must demonstrate correct spelling and proper grammar usage.
  • Use a handheld scanner to scan items and update quantities or move forward for further processing.
  • Use a label printer to print item barcodes and affix to the proper products.
  • Monitor products for tags and adhere a BHFO tag if none exists.
  • Utilize the desktop scale to weigh all products.
  • Monitor products for quality concerns - notate on the item and in the listing as appropriate.
  • Return items to appropriate categories and areas after completing the Product Listing process.
  • Work efficiently and accurately to achieve daily production goals set by the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and well stocked work area to promote efficiency and decrease risk of product damage.
  • Organize and manage workload to reach and exceed daily production goals for accuracy and rate.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Detail oriented and able to complete daily repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to efficiently meet and/or exceed production output demands.
  • Ability to use a computer including typing, navigating a data base, searching the internet and other specific activities.
  • Strong and accurate data entry skills with the ability to type 40 WPM.
  • Professional work attitude and values aligned with the BHFO Core Values.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively through written words and sentences - utilizing English.
  • Ability to make independent decisions on categorization and product descriptions.
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours at a time or duration of shift, ability to twist, bend, and lift consistently.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects various distances throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Vision ability including close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The ability to speak clearly so others can understand.
  • Fine motor skills including reach, grasp, pinch, and touch.
  • Flexibility to work in any production area (unless a physical limitation has been brought to management's attention and documentation provided regarding the disability)
  • Attendance to be within specified time off request guidelines, not to exceed company policy.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred, not required
  • Fashion terminology and general interest in fashion preferred, not required


Work Environment:
  • Temperature controlled Warehouse environment with moderate level of noise.
