CIS Secure Computing serves the secure communications market as a leading provider of communications and computing solutions for government and commercial customers. CIS designs and manufactures a wide range of products, which include secure telephones (under the TSG protocol), secure computers (TEMPEST), encrypted tactical communication systems, secure tele- and video-conferencing systems, and a variety of specialty systems used in secure networks. We are seeking a dedicated individual to work collaboratively with our Production and Engineering team to ensure quality processes guide the creation and production of superior products which exceed customer expectations.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage and execute multiple quality assurance functions in support of CIS s overall Quality Assurance Program. Direct, implement, and execute the overall Quality Assurance process and overseeing a variety of activities to standardize processes, improving procedures and ensuring the necessary steps are in place to provide quality products by performing the following duties.

Champion continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives to maintain an effective ISO 9001 and Quality Management System (QMS).

Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices and required Code of Federal Regulations as applicable. Initiate and implement quality improvement activities as appropriate to raise the performance of the company s product lines.

  • Educate and train employees as to their impact in the quality management system. Staffs and trains Quality Assurance personnel and developments administrative guidelines.
  • Serve as the primary Quality Assurance resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Maintains Quality Assurance responsibilities, which include: Quality Assurance Receiving Inspection, In-Process Inspections, Final Assembly Quality Assurance Testing and Inspection, and other Quality Testing required.
  • Manage of the NCMR / Deviation systems including MRB and the support of Customer Complaints process.
  • Design, implement and document procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection in accordance with Engineering which manages the Configuration Management function.
  • Develop quality planning methods for all product lines
  • Report to Operations and Engineering management on quality issues, trends and losses
  • Recommend new technology to enhance defect detection of incoming parts, in process assemblies and finished goods committed
  • Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality control and assure that effective correction action is implemented

QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic Qualifications:

Must be a US person as defined by the US regulations:

  • Any individual who is granted U.S. citizenship
  • Any individual who is granted U.S. permanent residence (i.e., a "Green Card" holder)
  • Any individual who is granted status as a "protected person"

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience

10 years related experience including a minimum of five (5) years of experience that must be in a Quality Assurance role

Experience working with ISO-9001, processes and procedures, in a Quality Assurance role in a Manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to drive a car for client visits.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
