Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician / Facility Support teammate repairs various facility equipment, physical structures and occasionally company vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the maintenance shop area clean and organized daily. All tools should be put in their place and the tool area locked before leaving
  • Lock company pickup, suburban and maintenance door each day before leaving.
  • Clean/Replace HVAC filters and drains monthly or as needed. Call for service on units as needed.
  • Daily/monthly maintenance on air compressor for conveyor and embroidery area
  • Daily and monthly maintenance on conveyor. This includes using an auto mechanic creeper to work underneath the conveyor to lube chains monthly and change gear case oil quarterly.
  • Clean/Replace fluorescent light bulbs and fixtures.
  • Keep log of vehicle maintenance. Schedule and shuttle company vehicles for maintenance.
  • Keep vehicles clean inside and out
  • Replace/Repair warehouse lights 30ft above the floor using a scissor lift
  • Maintenance on dock doors as needed lube and clean.
  • Electrical wiring and repairs to outlets and switches in the building
  • Maintain box tapers
  • Move desks, file cabinets, cubicles and office equipment as needed.
  • Repair office chairs and equipment or arrange with me for repairs beyond your ability
  • Keep fire extinguishers up to date, monthly inspection. Work with sprinkler inspectors and fire inspectors as needed.
  • Repair/set warehouse fans and timers.
  • Shovel snow from 550 ft. of sidewalk in the winter as needed and purchase and spread ice melt on entryways as needed.
  • Clean blockage from toilets and mop floor after fixing the problem
  • Maintain sprinkler systems as needed
  • Run errands as needed. Call, voice mail or e-mail supervisor with your departure and estimated return times
  • Take/pickup team members and/or guests from airport when needed
  • Miscellaneous tasks that will ensure a safe and clean environment for Outdoor Cap Company, Inc.
  • May use a ticket/work order system to log and track activities as required
  • Document work performance and materials procurement as directed
  • Complies with established safety guidelines & procedures
  • Has proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel & Outlook. Able to prepare communications, reports, and presentations. Navigate basic Excel calculations, add columns and rows and other basic functions such as data entry, calendars & schedules, and create spreadsheets
  • Acts with strong ethical integrity in all situations while upholding the company s Mission, Vision, and Value Statements and assists team members and other duties as assigned.

  • Strong time management, project management, problem solving and business acumen skills to execute workload efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and communication skills with demonstrated flexibility under pressure


Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel & Outlook
  • General maintenance experience a must
  • Forklift certification preferred; ability to train and provide instruction as needed
