**DRS Technologies Canada Ltd. (DRS Canada)**, is a leading mid-tier Canadian defence electronics company

specializing in military voice and data communications systems; electro-optics (EO) and infrared search and tracking

systems (IRST); command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) systems integration; deployable

flight data recorders; avionics systems engineering; soldier systems; training and simulation systems; defence/space

electronics manufacturing.

**Major Roles and Responsibilities:**

* Prepares molds for layup. Weighs and mixes resins, catalysts and adhesives according to work plans/routings and internal process control standards

* Responsible for ensuring fabricated parts are within quality standards and tolerance requirements before and after layup / repair process

* Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings for specific requirements ie: number of layers of fiberglass laminates and where they are applied, dimensions of completed parts including weight and centre of gravity.

* Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe work environment and ensuring the proper care of tooling and equipment

**Qualifications:**

* Spray painting and Fiberglass experience a definite asset

* Employees are trained in-house to industry certifications as required

* Proficient skill using various hand tools, electric or pneumatic powered tools

* Ability to use basic math skills for calculation of resin mix formula

* Good verbal, reading and writing abilities required for communication with others and for interpretation of drawings and other instructions

* Ability to use computers to input data and to look up job information

* Good eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills

* Ability to pay close attention to detail

* Must be able to differentiate colours and to see fine detail (with corrective lenses if required)

* Ability to work in a team environment
