You will be part of the North American purchasing team. By joining this team, you will have the chance to work in an international environment involving different cultures and different challenges.

****Your responsibilities would include but not limited to:****

Handles daily operational relations and interfaces with selected suppliers in order to build and maintain close relationships with suppliers.

Escalates complicated issues to senior levels of purchasers.

Prioritize, maintain, and place purchase orders on a weekly basis

Performs daily calls based on specifications and according to predefined procedures and processes to ensure delivery capability.

****Qualifications:****

+ Previous buying experience preferred with 2 to 4 years of experience.

+ Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management or Business preferred. Equivalent experience acceptable.

+ Knowledge of Mining and Cement equipment is preferred.

+ Individual should possess a sense of urgency, be proactive, customer-driven, and motivated.

+ Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, good time management skills.

+ Pleasant demeanor, good with co-workers, calm in high pressure situations.

+ Candidate shall have good communication skills, both written and verbal.

+ Organization skills and ability to prioritize work based on appropriate requirements.

+ Knowledge of Oracle based applications, as well as Microsoft applications.

+ Good with data, spreadsheets and data analysis.

+ Understands procurement process including vendor selection and order placement.

+ Knowledge or understanding of bill of materials

+ Commercial and technical knowledge in offer evaluations.

+ Blueprint reading is desirable.

+ Experience with international suppliers is a plus.
