Central Transport, LLC is currently seeking a W&I Supervisor for our facility located out of Kansas City, KS. We are looking for experienced, detailed, forward thinking, and highly motivated candidates to serve as a leader amongst the department. If you love a challenge and are looking to take a step towards a rewarding career, the W&I Supervisor opportunity may be right for you. The shift you will be working is Mon-Fri 9pm-7am.

These individuals will report directly to Weights and Inspections at the Corporate headquarters and will not be absorbed into normal freight movement. They will work closely with other Weights and Inspections Hub Quality individuals as well as W&I at the corporate office to produce a quality product for the movement of all freight in and out of the location.


The ideal candidate should possess:


  • ability to work in a non-temperature controlled open air dock platform in all weather conditions (hot or cold)
  • ability to stand, bend, and walk frequently on a concrete dock surface subject to dust or other debris as needed to inspect shipments
  • to perform basic mathematical calculations necessary for role
  • verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • be able to work independently and learn quickly
  • aptitude for technology and basic computer skills
  • ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
  • associate s or bachelor s degree is preferred but not required


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • dimensional, skid stop, operational and safety audits for compliance
  • reports for all audits preformed
  • over dimension/capacity shipments to ensure appropriate tariff items
  • with local and regional management to maintain compliance
  • to work night shifts and/or varied hours
  • as necessary for special projects and regional operational and safety audits


*Compensation rate: $60,000 - $75,000 annually
