Scope:

This Florida General Manager, reporting directly to the Director of Tank Wagon Operations, is responsible for the overall operations and logistics for the Company s bulk plants, support vehicles and cardlock. This position will be heavily focused on creating efficiencies in logistics and transportation, while also maintaining focus on overall operations. Having in-depth knowledge of environmental and Department of Transportation compliance is a key component of this position.

Responsibilities:

Ability to manage, operate and grow a 10+ truck fuel distribution business, consisting of 2 bulk plants, a cardlock, with trucks and employees in 3 physical locations.
Oversee and manage dispatchers, plant employees, and drivers.
Leadership of drivers, facilities, and ability to grow and develop team.
Must be adaptable to change and foster an organization that embraces change for improving the business unit s results.
Thorough knowledge of AST and UST regulations and complying with the regulations
Thorough knowledge of DOT regulations and ensuring the FL team is complying.
Knowledge of the petroleum markets economics.
Manage Company s safety program.
Operate and create efficiencies at the bulk plant locations.
Perform P&L reviews to look for operational efficiencies.
Understanding of the real cost of operating a fuel distribution business
Establish processes and procedures to effectively and safely complete all company objectives related to the day-to-day total operation.
Regular involvement with community and relevant associations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience
10+ years industry experience with 5 years management experience in similar role.
Must have a strong background in the petroleum industry.
Experience working with state environmental and DOT groups.
Must be adaptable to change and foster an organization that embraces change for improving the business unit s results.
Knowledgeable in industry specifically technologies. SmarTruck / Smartlink experience is a plus.
Must be good at multi-tasking and wearing many hats.
