Country Head/Director (ECommerce)


Job Details

We're looking for an experience, highly autonomous and self-starting leader who can grow our business in the USA. You will be responsible for strategising and managing CHARLES & KEITH s rapid expansion plans across current channels and launching into new revenue streams such as B2B and retail.


Job Responsibilities

  • Building-on and developing the go-to-market strategy for the US, alongside our Global HQ team in Singapore
  • Proactively working with cross departments to develop actions, understand business challenges and opportunities
  • Conducting competitor and data analysis to support the expansion prioritisation and strategy
  • Building a dedicated expansion team who are responsible for analysis, implementation and product requirements in the US across marketing, merchandising and operations
  • Lead and co-ordinate all aspects of US customer channels - DTC (ECommerce) and B2B functions (wholesale, consignment, concessions)
  • Develop CHARLES & KEITH s reputation through channels to build brand awareness and equity in US market
  • Work closely with buying and merchandising teams to support the localised site experience and curate a complete collection that is relevant for the local customer
  • Define budgets and targets according to annual targets, market trends, launches/promotions & competitor's activities
  • Manage budget/channel P&L, making the right trade-offs to drive sustainable growth
  • Continuous work to maximise profitability of the US market, by reducing costs and maximising revenue globally
  • Working cross-functionally with other digital, brand, operations & finance department heads to ensure business is properly aligned to achieve sales, customer experience & brand goalsIdentify and activate new revenue streams, new addressable audiences via brand and distribution partnerships


Job Requirements

  • A proven track record (10+ years) in a leadership role driving revenue operations at an executive level at a high growth scale-up preferably in the fashion space
  • Broad and deep functional knowledge spanning across ECommerce, Strategy and Operations with strong financial acumen
  • Depth of knowledge in strategic brand management: brand value proposition creation/evolution, brand equity/tracking and growing awareness where the US is an emerging market
  • Intimate knowledge of the US commercial landscape with good knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment
  • Experience of the B2B space in the US market wholesale, consignment, concession sales
  • Entrepreneurial track record within a direct to consumer business. Ideally, as a Country Head managing at a fast-paced, fast-growth company or start-up
  • Prior experience setting up early-stage country operations is a plus
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills: ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to think strategically and spot opportunities for growth in the US while driving day-to-day operations and building up a US team
  • Excellent people and stakeholder leadership skills with the ability to communicate with, motivate, inspire, and develop teams
  • Commercially minded, with demonstrable experience negotiating with vendors and partners
  • Experience working cross-functionally with other teams or departments to obtain ambitious goals
