Plant Manager
Springfield, MA
Industry leading company looking for talented Plant Manager for their Springfield, MA area facility. The plant is a 24/5 high volume facility. The Plant Manager is responsible for overall plant operations (6 direct reports with around 130 total employees). Also, has direct responsibility of the facility s safety, employee development, productivity, administrative and P&L. Industrial Plastics plant.
Responsibilities:
Ensure a safe work environment for all employees and maintain a safe working record.
Oversee manufacturing operations.
Prepare annual budgets for plant operations. Meet or exceed budget requirements
Ensure proper management of materials, inventory, and equipment.
Lean implementation experience.
Job Skills:
Excellent leadership skills and building a winning team
Process implementation and improvement
Ability to communicate at different levels within the organization
Strong problem-solving skills
Educational Requirements:
BS/BA degree required
5+ yrs managing 24/5 operation
Process Improvement, 5S, Lean Manufacturing experience
