Job Summary:

The Business Development Representative is responsible for:

  • Engaging and following up with prospective clients
  • Qualifying and handing off incoming leads
  • Coordinating meetings with prospects
  • Managing SEO/SEM and content marketing
  • Executing social media and email campaigns


Essential Job Functions & Expected Outcomes:

Business Development: 50% of the Job

  • Utilizes various channels for lead generation, including digital marketing, social media, email campaigns, webinars, and industry events
  • Maintains and updates ConnectWise with lead information, ensuring accurate tracking of lead activity and progress
  • Collaborates with the sales team to hand off qualified leads, providing detailed information to ensure effective follow-up and conversion
  • Schedules and tracks meetings and calls between qualified leads and Account Managers
  • Reaches out to potential clients through cold calling, emailing, social networking, and industry events to introduce our solutions and services
  • Analyzes lead conversion rates to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and recommend improvements
  • Qualifies leads through initial outreach, assessing their needs, and determining their fit for our solutions
  • Stays abreast of industry trends and competitor activity


Digital Marketing: 50% of the Job

  • Manages SEO/SEM efforts to optimize website content, increase visibility on search engines, and drive traffic and conversions
  • Designs, builds, and maintains our social media presence across various platforms, creating engaging content that resonates with our target audience
  • Analyzes digital marketing analytics reports and shares insights with the team
  • Collaborates with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience for digital marketing campaigns
  • Stays up to date with Cisco products and solutions, as well as industry trends, to effectively communicate our value proposition
  • Executes marketing campaigns at the direction of the Marketing Director

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; may consider an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Experience: 1+ years proven experience in lead generation, sales, or marketing, preferably in the IT sector. Experience with SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media management, and online advertising.

Certification(s): N/A

Functional Skills: Creative thinker with a strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touchpoints. Proven ability to build relationships and develop rapport with potential customers.

Technology Aptitude/Skills: Excellent Office 365 skills. Proficient in marketing automation and analytics tools (HubSpot).

Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content.

Leadership/Behaviors: Collaborative, with a strong internal and external customer focus. Goal-oriented and results-driven mindset. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Equipment Used:

  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, electronic devices, photocopiers, filing systems/cabinets and fax machines


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit at desk for 7+ hours per day
  • Ability to use hands and fingers and to reach for and handle objects to perform tasks frequently
  • Ability to articulate ideas/information in a logical flow for 5+ hours per day
  • Ability to read and respond on an on-going basis daily due to nature of the work
  • Ability to talk and communicate with others via phone, in-person, and computer on-going
  • Ability to listen to customers, problem-solve, and respond accordingly throughout the day
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, stoop, squat, kneel, twist, push, pull and carry items frequently
  • Lifting up to 15 lbs. sporadically


Environmental Conditions & Travel:

  • The employee is primarily exposed to a normal office environment with moderate noise
  • This position may face inclement weather conditions when traveling
  • Travel Requirements: Less than 10%
