TRC s client is an established auto parts manufacturer looking for a 3rd shift Maintenance Specialist to join their team in Portland, ME on a full-time, direct hire basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installation of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and program PLCs on existing equipment.
- Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unsafe conditions to supervisor with improvement suggestions.
- Work with Engineering to rebuild, design, and upgrade new existing equipment.
- Clean and maintain concentration levels on wash/coolant/RP tanks daily.
- Perform periodical lubrication maintenance schedule for assigned machines.
- Change oil and filters on machines as scheduled.
- Install electrical utilities, meeting all state, local, and federal codes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A.S. in the electrical or mechanical trades or equivalent experience.
- Ability to use electrical, electronic, and PLC testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Working knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and appropriate OSHA standards.
- Flexibility to alter work schedule for timely completion of projects.
- Understanding of equipment schematics.
