Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Desktop Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with IMACD-Installations, Move, Adds, Change and Decommissions procedures, as well as strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure. IMACD tasks include but are not limited to: imaging of PCs, installation of packaged software applications, installation of peripheral items, as well as software troubleshooting, repairs, moves and disposals.
Responsibilities:
- Perform IMACD (Installations, Moves, Adds, Changes, and Decommission) of desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, printers, and network equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
- Maintain inventory of hardware and software
- Create and update documentation and procedures
- Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure computing environment
- May require travel to different offices
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in desktop support or related field
- Experience with IMACD-Installs, Move, Adds, and Decommission procedures
- Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM ticketing applications
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and move equipment as needed
- A+ certification is a plus
Skills:
- Good oral/written communication skills
- Proficient in basic electronics
- Proficient in Windows Operating Systems such as 7, 8.1, and 10
- Ability to install and properly configure multiple software packages (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
- Professional, reliable and motivated to learn
- Must be able to work effectively within time constraints
