What You Get to Do

  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly regulatory inspections of the hazardous waste facility, collection sites, UST/AST, oil/grease containers, generators and any other potential pollution source
  • Complete regulatory monthly sampling and reporting
  • Collect environmental data and enter into excel or other computer software
  • Conduct park environmental training
  • Assist with the development of EHS projects.
  • Participate in EHS inspections throughout the park to ensure that all departments are in compliance with company, local, state and federal environmental regulations.
  • Assist with any environmental clean up
  • Develop corrective action plans and ensures completion
  • Attend department meetings and general EHS sensitive meetings
  • Conduct work required to maintain the hazardous waste facility and satellite accumulation sites
  • Review chemical inventory and requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned


What it Takes to Succeed

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have Environmental, Health, and Safety experience
  • Be able to lift, push and pull 50 lbs., climb ladders/stairs, wear a respirator, stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Have strong analytical aptitude, strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple and varied tasks in a team environment, and work independently
  • Be able to present to large groups
  • Have working knowledge of computers and applicable software i.e. Microsoft Office
  • Be comfortable with heights
  • Be comfortable with exposure to noise, vibrations and motion
  • Be able to train on and properly use protective gear
  • Be comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor
  • Be comfortable working around chemicals
  • Be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
  • Be available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays


What Else is Important

  • Bachelor's Degree in an EHS related field or recognized professional credential preferred
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations preferred
  • Training in hazardous waste management, accumulation and transportation preferred
  • Ability to troubleshoot, or maintain/repair scientific equipment preferred
  • Theme park experience preferred
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license preferred

Compensation: $17.00 per hour
