**SUMMARY** The Islands Grounds & Venue Attendants are responsible for upkeep and cleaning of outdoor public areas, Golf pro Shop, outdoor Venues, Front Gate, Administrative, and Maintenance Building at Lanier Islands.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

* Responsible for the overall cleanliness of areas outside of Rooms Division, including custodial cleaning the restrooms, Venue pool, compactors, and maintenance buildings.

* Responsible for picking up and disposing trash, foliage, pet waste, and other litter throughout the resort.

* Responsible for daily changing and replacement of trash cans throughout the resort and the operation of trash compactors.

* Ensures Parking Lots, guest walkways and sidewalks are clear of debris, foliage, mulch, and dirt.

* Responsible for cleaning and de-cobwebbing of Front Gate, Venues, fences/gates, and building structures.

* Responsible for general pest removal, which includes spraying of bees, wasps, and ants

* Responsible for upkeep and overall functionality of vehicles, storage rooms, and closets used by the Department

* Responsible for cleaning of offices throughout the resort.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES** This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Must be at least 18 years of age with valid drivers license and clean MVR for 2 years.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**LANGUAGE SKILLS**

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS**

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

**REASONING ABILITY**

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**

Valid Drivers License and clean Motor Vehicle report
