****Summary:****

****Supervises and coordinates the daily activities of the Customer Service team to contribute to the operational effectiveness of the Anchorage Division for outstanding customer service, through timely and accurate processing of customer orders, answering inquiries and solving customer order-related issues. In addition, the Customer Service Manager performs administrative, training and coordination of duties for the Inside team. This position contributes to operational effectiveness of the Anchorage Division by performing all relevant duties and responsibilities of an Inside Sales Representative.****

****Essential Functions: Lead the Customer Service team by training and following company policies and procedures, setting department and individual goals through performance management, communication and training. Work with the Divison and Sales Manager to establish goals and objectives for the Inside Sales staff Develop measurements and timeframes for performance levels. Accept and process customer telephone, fax, e-mail, on-line or walk in orders and inquiries while providing exceptional customer service in order to meet sales support objectives. Manage complex customer issues and provide assistance to the team in resolution of standard customer issues. Provide price quotes for stock items; work with merchandising and sales to facilitate price quotes for customers. Coordinate with other departments with regard to workflow and resolving customer related issues. Track backorders and future orders for customers and Account Managers for timely customer receipt of product.****

****Other Functions: Perform job performance appraisals of Inside Sales staff Manage time keeping and PTO functions for the Inside Sales Staff. Engage in employee issue resolution with support of Division Manager Assist Account Managers with special projects. Perform other functions as necessary.****

****Qualifications: Minimum of five years of customer service or industry-related experience. Two years of college with an emphasis on business, communication, marketing or a similar field preferred. PC-based data entry experience needed. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and current versions of Microsoft Office.****

****Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong knowledge for math and ability to apply it. Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality. Effective verbal and written communications skills. Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives. Customer service oriented, with the ability to work well under pressure. Detail oriented, able to work with little direct supervision; well organized, with the ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects and effectively follow through on projects. Strong critical thinking, questioning, and problem-solving skills. Able to work well under pressure and in an environment full of deadlines, providing accurate output. Proven leadership and problem solving abilities. Approachable, flexible, adaptable to change.****

**** Working Conditions: Professional office environment. Heavy telephone contact with customers and Account Managers. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, regularly lift 10-25 lbs. Frequent use of basic office equipment (i.e. computer keyboard, mouse, phone, stapler, 3-hole punch, paper cutter, etc.). Occasional overtime required. Participation in annual physical inventory may be required****
