Purpose and Scope
The Warehouse Team Lead is primarily responsible for ensuring that warehouse inventory is accurate, orderly and complete.
Essential Job Functions
- Move and transfers inventory in Navision system
- Maintain paper and electronic records
- Cycles inventory to prevent expiration of product
- Receives incoming shipments and leads trucks for outgoing shipment, ensuring that pellets are placed in the appropriate bin location.
- Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes.
- Pulls stock requests for production
- Controls stock movements within the warehouse
- Stocks finished goods from production once released by QC/QA.
- Handles and processes shipping documentation (Bills of Laden, shipping invoices, etc)
- Operates and maintains fork trucks and pallet jacks
- Maintains the cleanliness and organizations of the warehouse
- Ensure the inherent safety of the warehouse facility and operations
- Assist with other shipping and warehousing duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Forklift Experience Required
- High school degree, GED or 1-2 years of related experience
- Basic math and reading skills
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Programs)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as leadership skills.
- Able to supervise other staff and complete all necessary paperwork associated with managing other staff.
- Able to lead a team and develop staff abilities over time.
