Location: Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, CA, US


We are currently seeking a dedicated Simulation Operator to join our client's team at the Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. This role offers the opportunity to significantly contribute to advanced simulation training programs, utilizing cutting-edge technology to enhance medical training and outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and manage simulation equipment and supplies in alignment with specified training scenarios and learning objectives.
  • Operate a variety of simulation technologies including computerized simulators, virtual reality, and task trainers, making adjustments based on participant responses.
  • Develop and update training materials such as simulator checklists, troubleshooting guides, and detailed lesson plans.
  • Maintain and operate audio-video recording systems for training debriefs.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for students and faculty.
  • Conduct training sessions for new staff, ensuring they are well-versed in equipment operations and troubleshooting.
  • Oversee simulation training to ensure effective learning outcomes, including reporting on training metrics and after-action reviews.
  • Manage data submission for all simulation encounters using the DMMSO Joint Simulation Encounter Form.
  • Conduct orientations and safety briefings for new personnel and students.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support training goals, including aiding in defining equipment and funding needs.
  • Act as a technical resource and liaison, coordinating with medical logistics and program administration to support simulation operations.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a medical or military setting, with direct involvement in patient simulation.
  • Associate's degree or technical certification in a computer technology field.
  • Proficient with high fidelity medical simulation platforms (e.g., Gaumard, CAE, Laerdal).
  • Knowledge equivalent to that of a paramedic, with a strong understanding of human physiological responses.
  • Prior military medical experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to instruct technical courses and develop educational content for adult learners in a military context.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
