This hands-on, creative role strengthens our brand experiences while elevating the appeal of our brand in a competitive marketplace. Produces remarkable online visual designs and engaging product and brand assets that inspire and delight our customers from web pages to digital and print marketing assets to product videos and animations. This position s scope spans visual, interactive, product, and creative direction to support strong product conversions in both new and existing product categories while continuously improving the user experience with our brand and across our website.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop marketing graphics for marketing campaigns, 3 weeks in advance. This includes: Creating a visual direction for campaigns, creating email and social media graphics, digital ad design, website visuals & graphics, print collateral
  • Design marketing collateral for marketing projects and events, including: solidifying a visual direction for the project or event that aligns with the brand, creating email graphics, digital ads, or other web designs needed, designing and managing print collateral, and website visuals & graphics .
  • Maintain all brand standard documentation and logo images, brand standards and style guides, web design standards and image specs, and print design standards.
  • Maintain digital asset file standards. Ensure all graphics, photos and videos are named and located appropriately.
  • Wireframe, develop, update, and publish home page, landing pages, etc. to support marketing campaigns.
  • Plan, organize and coordinate brand asset photoshoots. This includes: Coordinating timing and other details with a contract photographer & models, identifying products and models needed, creating an organized and clear shot list and schedule, and collaborating with members of the marketing team for support.
  • Edit, publish and manage brand photo assets (action images from brand asset photoshoots).
  • Edit, publish and manage product photo assets, which includes
  • Maintaining image libraries for web and print versions of product photos
  • Editing photos to match HST s standard (cut out with white background)
  • Providing new or updated photos to the Product team or others as needed
  • Updating product photos on the website.
  • Contribute to team collaboration and meetings.
  • Manage scorecards aligned with job responsibilities, continually identifying areas for improvement.


SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop and update B2C and B2B print catalogs, including: Layout and design, review with team, making pricing and image updates, managing print-ready files, and managing digital file version.
  • Conceptualize, write, film, and edit product videos, which includes: Identify scope of project and what s needed, coordinating team or external support, ownership of the photography lab space.
  • Develop graphics and designs to support website CRO improvements and changes to align with campaigns and projects.
  • Provide quarterly UX review of one web page type and identify specific areas of improvement.
  • Provide annual UX review of HST s website and identify areas of improvement.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree required, preferably in graphic design or another visual creative field.
  • 5+ combined years of graphic design or UX/UI marketing experience.
  • Ability to edit photos and video.
  • Alignment with Home Science Tools core values.
  • Creative thinker who can easily translate brand, product and marketing elements into a wide range of visually appealing digital products that achieve desired business results.
  • Skilled at balancing creativity and quality with productivity to fully meet the visual design needs of the business.
  • Ability to adhere to company processes and brand standards and follow approval processes.
  • A self-motivated, self-starting team player, able to task-switch and prioritize daily workload, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines, all with proper attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, excellent collaboration, and the ability to work effectively across teams as well as independently.
  • Highly organized with a methodical approach to production processes, file organization, and maintenance.
  • Ability to use research to challenge and validate design decisions in an ongoing development process that strives to improve the customer experience.
  • Natural curiosity and interest in science.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability and willingness to quickly learn other software tools.
  • Strong writing and content development skills are beneficial.
  • Experience with Asana, BigCommerce, WordPress and other marketing platforms is beneficial.
  • Experience with photography is beneficial.


Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

  • Located in Billings, Montana
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Auditory ability to listen attentively in a busy office environment
  • Good close, distance and peripheral vision
  • Ability to handle stressful situations such as dealing with conflict in a respectful manner
