**Hybrid - 2 to 3 days a week onsite in Charlotte, NC.**


Our utilities client is looking for a Product Owner to join their team.


Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.


Pay Rate: $55.00 - $63.00/hr on W2


Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be taken into account when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting is a reflection of a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided pay range.


W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.


Responsibilities of the Product Owner:

  • Define and manage product roadmap
  • Build, groom and prioritize the product backlog, continuously managing expectations with relevant stakeholders
  • Manage the sprint planning process and participate in all relevant ceremonies
  • Develop a deep contextual understanding of our customer, worker and user needs
  • Gather market feedback through user interactions, focus groups, and by performing industry research
  • Write detailed functional specifications, user stories and product documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams of developers, designers and analysts to implement and deliver new products and features
  • Collaborate with the organization on vision, strategy, decisioning, tactical execution, and measurement systems
  • Communicate roadmap stages and timelines internally with key stakeholders


Requirements of the Product Owner:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 5 or more years working in utility industry
  • Experience as a Product Analyst
  • Experience with Jira
  • Experience with relevant new product or technology development experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with teams developing and shipping software
  • Experience operating in an environment driven by KPIs
  • Understanding of the SDLC process and the ability to work in an agile environment with bi-weekly releases
  • Ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts to a new product development team
  • Ability to be self-directed and to proactively anticipate problems and seek opportunities
  • Agile Product Owner certification
  • "Black Belt" Six Sigma certification
