Find your future with us.Job SummaryAs an Environmental Test Engineer, you will develop and implement test procedures for dynamic and thermal environmental testing of components, subsystems and satellite products.
You will be responsible for leveraging design for testability and continuous improvement to deliver space-grade avionics, structures, and propulsion hardware at high rate and low cost, without ever compromising personnel safety or product reliability. A successful candidate for this role will demonstrate integrity, intellectual curiosity, empathy, technical capability, and a strong motivation to support the environmental test resource.

Our team is currently hiring for levels 2 - 6.Job Responsibilities:Serve as the primary point of support for environmental test equipment and processes, and maintain responsibility over test execution for spacecraft hardwareCreate spacecraft hardware test procedures, ensure test readiness, unblock issues that arise during test campaigns, etc. in support of our environmental test resourceDevelop standard operating procedures for environmental test techniciansEstablish and increase the efficiency of environmental test processes to maximize output, limit burden, and enable products to rapidly transition from engineering development to high rate productionIdentify improvement opportunities and execute initiatives to maintain safe operations, ensure product quality, reduce lead time/labor hours, etc. through environmental testIdentify, implement, and qualify environmental test equipment and processes in support of high reliability and throughput productionTroubleshoot and identify ultimate root cause of issues in environmental test processes (i.e. due to spacecraft hardware defects, test equipment anomalies, software problems, etc.), then implement permanent corrective actions to prevent recurrenceEnable production autonomy by challenging requirements, simplifying work processes, and automating actionsServe as the technical subject matter expert for environmental test processes and equipmentDevelop test equipment automation to improve efficiency of environmental test processes, limit the likelihood of error, and maximize throughputMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in an engineering disciplineStrong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to collaborate with peersPreferred Qualifications:Experience in the aerospace industry2+ years in a hardware test environmentExperience operating/maintaining thermal chambers, TVAC chambers, and/or vibration shakersExperience with test instrumentation (i.e. thermocouples, accelerometers, pressure transducers, etc.)Demonstrated ability to scale production rate capabilityDemonstrated experience with hardware automation using Python, Labview, C++, or similarPlease note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position.
