Supporting Safety Initiatives:

  • Assist in providing a safe environment and ensuring compliance with regulatory codes.
  • Coordinate education and interface with engineering and clinical staff.

Life Safety Oversight:

  • Provide contractor oversight for Life Safety Equipment Inspections.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of safety documentation.

Deficiency Management:

  • Prepare deficiency lists and oversee corrective action work orders.
  • Coordinate interim life safety measures based on risk assessments.

Inspection Coordination:

  • Oversee Ceiling Access program and coordinate above-ceiling inspections.
  • Perform safety inspections at construction and renovation sites.

Training and Education:

  • Initiate training and education programs for staff and management.
  • Become proficient in the engineering computer maintenance management system.


Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in healthcare, engineering, or fire safety regulations preferred.
  • 1 3 years of experience in healthcare facilities operations.
  • NFPA, Joint Commission, or Healthcare Regulatory Agency certificates preferred.
