Supporting Safety Initiatives:
- Assist in providing a safe environment and ensuring compliance with regulatory codes.
- Coordinate education and interface with engineering and clinical staff.
Life Safety Oversight:
- Provide contractor oversight for Life Safety Equipment Inspections.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of safety documentation.
Deficiency Management:
- Prepare deficiency lists and oversee corrective action work orders.
- Coordinate interim life safety measures based on risk assessments.
Inspection Coordination:
- Oversee Ceiling Access program and coordinate above-ceiling inspections.
- Perform safety inspections at construction and renovation sites.
Training and Education:
- Initiate training and education programs for staff and management.
- Become proficient in the engineering computer maintenance management system.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in healthcare, engineering, or fire safety regulations preferred.
- 1 3 years of experience in healthcare facilities operations.
- NFPA, Joint Commission, or Healthcare Regulatory Agency certificates preferred.
