A highly visible and accountable leadership role within a dedicated & fast paced culture focused around the area of technical formulation in fabric and home care. A trusted technical advisor to both internal & external strategic business partners for fabric and home care product development. This person will have a solid understanding of regulatory environment that supports the development and positioning in a global environment!
Responsibilities
Formulation Compliance - Fabric Care:
Establishes technical strategy for new opportunities including timeline feasibility, risk mitigation, key ingredients' selection, brief reviews and development prioritiesWill be accountable in performing the task and projectsEnsuring chemical and aesthetic product integrity and complianceAchieving the desired performance attributesDelivering products on time, complete within cost in accordance to commercialization timelinesProducts meet or exceed all global safety, regulatory requirements as well as BBW credo s and corporate responseProvide point of view product position to merchant and legal teamsCollaborate with 3rd party manufacturers and technical teams in support overall product compliance.Provides more tactical support for projects of high complexity and fast track timingTechnical oversight at the inception of the project (Brief reviews)Anticipate, remove and plan for any potential barriers that could potentially impact success
Relationship Development
The Manager will be accountable for developing & maintaining a strong relationship with all partnersEmpowered decision-making skills regarding process and products.Drive a strong advisory relationship with contract fillers and raw material suppliersDemonstrates and promotes collaboration with functional and cross functional partners
Personal Development and Influence
Strategy for laying out updated business processes that support new white space opportunities within businessAccountable for the overall technical proficiencyAttend and report back external, industry seminars and trade shows.Process Improvement for realized speed and efficiency within the team
Data Systems/Process
SAP/PLMC-ProjectsProduct Briefing process
Qualifications
10 years of relevant research and development experience.Knowledge of both domestic and global formulation requirements is preferred.Highly motivated and influential individual who possess strong technical skillExperienced in leading and building relevant capabilities within a larger team
Education
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience- MBA or MS preferred.
