Senior Procurement Manager, IT


Job Details

The Senior Procurement Manager for IT Software, Hardware, and Services will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize costs, mitigate risks, and ensure the timely acquisition of high-quality IT solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills, deep industry knowledge, and a proven track record of successful vendor management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet the company's IT needs, including software, hardware, and services.
  • Identify and evaluate potential vendors, negotiating contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, finance, and legal departments, to understand requirements and align procurement activities with organizational goals.
  • Conduct market research and stay informed about industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.
  • Manage supplier relationships, monitor vendor performance, and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of procurement activities and identify areas for optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements throughout the procurement process.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and drive innovation in IT procurement.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on IT software, hardware, and services.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex procurement projects and negotiating contracts with IT vendors.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform decision-making and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience leading cross-functional teams and driving process improvements.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa) is preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
