The Software Sourcing Manager is responsible for overseeing software sourcing strategies and tactics within Insight Global s large financial services client. This role involves negotiating business terms, conditions, and pricing related to IT software procurement. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the best value for the organization and influence strategic sourcing practices. The ideal candidate will have experience working with software sourcing contracts renewing them, making sure all information is correct, and price improvement. Vetting out new softwares and suppliers is also a large part of this job and make sure the business is getting what they need in their timeline with a quick turnaround and competitive pricing.
Responsibilities:
Oversee software sourcing strategies and tactics
Negotiate business terms, conditions, and pricing for software contracts (on-premises, SaaS, and cloud)
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve optimal value
Influence business stakeholders regarding strategic sourcing practices
Leverage benchmarking firms and analyze competing contracts
Identify and discuss contractual commercial terms and risks with the business
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of recent experience supporting software contracts
Strong understanding of IT software procurement processes
Knowledge of on-premises, SaaS, and cloud software
Excellent negotiation skills
Familiarity with legal and risk management aspects of software contracts
