Currently hiring for Swing Shift 5:30pm - 1:30am

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides general public safety services for the protection of guests and team members.
  • Inspects assigned areas for public safety and/or safety breaches and reports any potential situations to supervisor.
  • Informs emergency first responders in case of fire, presence of unauthorized persons or other foreseen emergencies.
  • Reports and records all unusual occurrences and incidents within the gaming facility.
  • Regulates vehicle and pedestrian traffic at Casino to maintain orderly flow, including controlling and directing traffic as needed.
  • Communicates with surveillance concerning security needs.
  • Promotes superior guest service.
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
  • Monitors and observes the casino entrance, casino floor, restaurants and bar areas for disturbances, crimes, fire hazards, and undesirable persons and reports these issues to security supervision.
  • Ensures all customers entering the casino area are 21 or over and not bringing in banned substances by making contact with every person entering the casino floor.
  • Assists customers and Team Members by giving directions and answering questions in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Performs dispatch duties including but not limited to; monitoring radio activities, receiving and recording incoming and outgoing calls on telephone and radio, dispatching appropriate staff and equipment during routine and emergency calls, relay questions or instructions from remote units, coordinate all police, fire, ambulance and other emergency activities, issue and receive public safety passes and maintains visitor log.
  • Completes written reports as required.
  • Maintains a professional demeanor and a well-groomed appearance.
  • Follows and Enforces New Mexico Gaming and Racing Rules and Regulations, and company and department policies and procedures.
  • May be required to drive company vehicles as directed to perform job duties.


Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be able to obtain a New Mexico Gaming License.
  • Valid New Mexico Driver's License preferred


Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Previous security experience preferred


Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member regularly is required to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Work is generally performed in a casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke, bright lights, and a high noise level.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 30lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
