This is a collaborative group that values innovation and inclusivity, and they are looking to add you - a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer - to their team. In this role, you are responsible for overseeing mechanical design activities for projects of all types and scales.


The Senior Mechanical Engineer will take a vital role in this organization by mentoring and sharing their technical expertise with team members, leading in the advancement of cutting-edge mechanical engineering solutions, and fostering the advancement of those skills among existing team members.


Responsibilities:


As a leader, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead the team effort by utilizing their skills to complete the following:


  • Manage and complete the technical aspects of projects of varying scale with limited assistance from senior management
  • Conduct engineering, feasibility and economic studies, and prepare reports on findings.
  • Prepare high-quality MEP documents including drawings, specifications, and technical reports, and ensure coordination with all disciplines.
  • Design mechanical (HVAC and Piping) plan including all associated BMS controls, riser diagrams, equipment schedules, installation details, and specifications.
  • Participate in CA phase of project including submittal reviews and RFI responses.


In this role, you will also:


  • Coordinate with the client and the entire design team, including owners, architects, contractors, and internal team to ensure a fully coordinated design.
  • Develop, track, and maintain project schedules to ensure deliverables are completed to meet client expectations.
  • Provide QA/QC review of project drawings and specifications for coordination issues, constructability, budgetary compliance, and code compliance.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university.
  • 5 - 12 years of experience in the built environment.
  • FE/EIT preferred; PE is encouraged.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
  • Knowledge in the principles, practices, and trends of MEP systems - experience with plumbing systems is a plus.
