Role Description
Strata Language Services is seeking an experienced English<>Spanish simultaneous interpreter for Maryland assignments. Locations vary.
- Some assignments may also require switching to Consecutive interpretation, as needed.
- Some assignments may involve public comments, which will be recorded.
Qualifications
Native-level or Near-native level English proficiency AND Native-level Spanish proficiency
5+ years experience in simultaneous interpretation (In-person)
Location: Maryland/DC area
Ability to interpret into and from Spanish for training sessions, conferences where attendees will be interacting with presenters.
Experience with community interpreting in various settings
Experience with interpreting equipment (mobile and stationary) and working in interpreting booth
Training and/or degree in interpretation/translation/languages
Experience interpreting the following subjects: education/childcare; business/marketing; healthcare; legal (policies/laws related to education, business, healthcare)
- Experience with remote interpreting in case of remote assignments
