Shipping Manager

Job Details

This position will supervise daily operations in a distribution center for a consumer products manufacturer. The candidate will be responsible for supervising the warehousing, shipping and receiving tasks. In addition, the position will coordinate daily work activity with material handlers to meet the demand of customer shipment schedules as well as inbound material receipts.

Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate daily outbound shipments to customers

• truck loading and unloading operations

• shipping documentation and other related paperwork
• train, and counsel team members on safe and proper operations of material handling equipment
• clean, safe, and organized warehouse facility
• and verify materials in the warehouse by performing audits of both inbound and outbound material movements, cycle counting, and physical inventory
• records of team member performance, equipment, material and products
• with intercompany operations departments, external customers, and transportation service providers on a regular basis
• and implement operating methods for shipping and receiving, to include process and quality improvements
• safety leadership
