Principal Tasks for the R&D Testing Manager (Marine) - Florida Based:


  • Oversee the management of the testing fleet, ensuring their readiness for daily adventures on the water, including repairs, registrations, operation, and storage.
  • Collaborate with management to prepare test orders for our endurance drivers, ensuring seamless coordination and execution.
  • Craft meticulous final test reports for approval, reflecting the insights gained from your daily excursions on the water.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of endurance drivers and vessels to fulfill test order objectives, optimizing efficiency and productivity.
  • Work closely with our engineers and technicians to troubleshoot any issues encountered during testing, leveraging your expertise to find innovative solutions.
  • Liaise with various departments to fulfill requirements and contribute to the completion of development projects, bringing your unique perspective from the water to the table.
  • Provide comprehensive training to our endurance drivers on both internal procedures and external regulations, such as those outlined by the USCG, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Facilitate the setup of advanced data logging systems, enabling precise data collection during testing activities.
  • Conduct advanced data analysis to derive meaningful insights for the preparation of test reports, utilizing your deep understanding and passion for vessels ranging from 12ft to 50ft.
  • Embrace occasional physical tasks as part of the testing process, immersing yourself fully in the hands-on experience of boat testing.

Minimum Requirements for the R&D Testing Manager (Marine) - Florida Based:


  • 2+ years of experience in vehicle testing activities, preferably in the marine sector (recreational or commercial), with at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • General understanding of best engineering and testing practices, honed through hands-on experience on the water.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to follow company policies and take initiative when necessary.
  • Possession of a Florida Boating License, reflecting your commitment to safe and responsible boating practices.
  • Understanding of MatLab or LabView software, facilitating advanced data analysis.
  • Knowledge of electric theory and its application in vessel testing.
  • Familiarity with ABYC standards and USCG regulations, ensuring compliance with industry guidelines.


Preferred Qualifications for the R&D Testing Manager (Marine) - Florida Based:


  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (ME, EE, etc.), providing a solid foundation for your role.
  • USCG OUPV Captain s License or higher, underscoring your expertise and competency on the water.
