Responsibilities

  • Maintain all banquet standards and steps of service, ensuring appropriate skills are met to satisfy the needs of the operation
  • Maintain and execute all assigned events while working alongside the bar and culinary teams
  • Hands-on execution of the daily operations of the banquet department including assisting with staff assignments, pre-shift meetings, and supervising staff
  • Review all details of BEO s and check all room sets prior to each event for accuracy including china, glassware, silverware, linen, and floor plan
  • Interact with members and their guests, providing responsive service and developing an awareness of members likes and preferences
  • Maintain communication with all departments to ensure guest service needs are met
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled departmental team meetings
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and facilities to ensure all areas are set and guest-ready
  • Coordinate with the banquet manager and event contact for seamless event execution
  • Provide guests at catered events exceptional service throughout all phases of their experience at the Club while holding full menu knowledge and preparation methods
  • Maintain all equipment, tools, supplies, and appearance of the event spaces while ensuring all equipment is in working order
  • Work closely with the catering sales and banquet culinary operations teams to participate in successful banquet events throughout the club
  • Maintain confidentiality of all members and Club information
  • Follow grooming and uniform standards established for this role
  • Work as a team, effectively communicating with management and co-workers
  • Ensure that all member, guest and employee areas are maintained in a safe and secure environment
  • Performs all other duties as directed by immediate supervisors


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years banquet experience at a luxury hotel, high-end restaurant, or private club with similar operational responsibilities
  • Minimum of 3 year experience in supervising staff, including assignment of duties, evaluating service, and conducting disciplinary action as required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, ordering guides, inventory sheets, and scheduling
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments and multi-task
  • Possess good computer skills, being proficient in Excel, Word, and having knowledge of operating POS systems
  • Must have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, polite, and energetic
