TGC Search is partnered with one of our top clients in Milwaukee, WI looking to add their next Robotic Welder to the team in a direct hire/full-time position.
As a Robotic Welding Technician, you'll play a crucial role in the operation, programming, and maintenance of robotic welding projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and developing complete robot programs, including welding paths, coordinated motion, error handling, PLC communication, and other functions. This might involve using various 3D offline programming software.
- Operating a range of welding tools, both manual and automated, including shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
- Meeting project timelines and providing regular updates to the manufacturing manager and project engineers.
- Reviewing and interpreting mechanical prints, electrical schematics, and layout drawings.
- Servicing robot weld torches and wire feeding systems, including replacing torches, contact tips, gas diffusers, insulators, nozzles, and drive rolls, as well as changing welding wire
Desired Qualifications:
- An Associate's Degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 1-2 years of experience programming and operating robotic welding systems.
- Experience with setting up and integrating weld equipment into automated systems.
- Ability to travel to customer sites.
- Proficiency in MIG/TIG welding.
- Strong ability to read and understand weld prints and callouts..
