Trobec's Bus Service is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team for our Saint Joseph, MN Location Earn Up To $35 Per Hour (Based On Experience) with sign-on bonus potential Must have at least 3 Years of Experience to be considered What We Offer: Competitive Hourly Wage based on experience and knowledge Bi-weekly pay via direct deposit Paid Vacations & holidays Paid Uniforms Tool Allowance About the Position: Integrate into the Trobec s culture of safety, professionalism, and service. Diagnose and perform repairs on gas and diesel engines, drivelines, suspension, steering, brakes, air systems, HVAC, tires, and electrical systems. Utilize technology tools for diagnosis and repair. The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy and thrive in a shop that utilizes technology. Will be diagnosing mechanical and electrical systems and also be troubleshooting more complex engine and chassis problems. Produce quality on-time repairs. Follow company and manufacturer service intervals. Perform preventative maintenance as directed on schedule while inspecting and noting any deficiencies. Recognize component failures and suggest repairs as necessary to comply with current DOT safety standards. Participate in weekly maintenance meetings with other technicians and operations personnel. Accurately communicate in-service vehicle availability. Direct daily repair schedules to maximize performance and productivity within the department. Maintain a clean, well-organized work area. Effectively work independently or as a team. Participate in training and further education as directed. Requirements: At Least 21 Years of Age High school graduate or equivalent Heavy-duty diesel engine knowledge and experience are preferred but not required. Must have minimum hand tool requirements Must be DOT Certified or be able to become certified Possess or willing to obtain a Class B CDL with School Bus and Passenger Endorsements Complete understanding of air-brake systems & air brake certification.
