**Distribution Laborer Key Job Details:**
Reports to: Assistant Distribution Superintendent Department: Distribution
Classification: Hourly (non-exempt) Full-Time Grade: 4 ($16.29 $19.73/hour)
Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Delaware, OH
Hours: M-F 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Occasional off-shift hours and ability to serve on-call will be required.
**Summary of Responsibilities:**
Assists in the installation, maintenance, repair and replacement of water mains, hydrants, valves, meters and other related infrastructure on the water distribution system.
**Essential Functions:**
Assist with installation of water mains, water pipes, meters and valves.
Establish new water services/taps.
Repair and maintain hydrants, meters and ruptured water lines as needed.
Aid in landscape restoration work.
Operate various types of equipment and vehicles including light-duty trucks and tractors with mowers.
Clean and maintain equipment, tools and trucks. Ensure vehicles are stocked with proper items.
Other duties as assigned.
**Competencies and Qualifications:**
Required:
Knowledge in the use of various hand and power tools, and motorized equipment used for general repair and maintenance work.
Willingness to perform manual labor in adverse weather conditions.
A high school diploma or GED.
A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
Desired:
A current Ohio CDL Class A license.
**Physical Demands:**

Regularly required to stand, walk, and frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
