We are in search of a highly skilled Hardware Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the electrical engineering of a new laptop, with our team responsible for surface products and overseeing all electrical engineering tasks. Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop schematics and BOMs to meet design requirements.
  • Analyze designs using simulation tools and calculations for compliance verification.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and engineering services to ensure timely, high-quality product development.
  • Optimize overall system design in collaboration with various engineering disciplines from concept to factory completion.
  • Design, build, and test rapid prototypes for new product ideas or technology concepts.
  • Conduct design/debug investigations and support development, maintenance, failure analysis, and resolution activities.
  • Develop project documentation, including specifications, schematic diagrams, PCB layouts, schedules, and presentations.


Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of overall experience in the field.
  • A degree in electrical engineering is required for eligibility.
  • Candidates without relevant work experience and PC experience will not be considered.


Must-Have Skills:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience designing, implementing, and shipping high-volume consumer electronics products of medium to high complexity.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on design experience in analog/digital electronics, including RF, analog, digital, audio, video, power, electromechanical, low power, charging, touch display, and sensors.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with x86 PC and/or ARM architectures and implementation of high-speed serial busses (PCIe, DP, USB4, Thunderbolt, MIPI) and high-speed parallel busses such as memory bus (DDR4/5, etc.).
