Material Handler - 1st & 2nd Shift - $1500 sign on bonus
Description The $1500 sign on bonus is paid: $500 after 30 days of work, additional $500 after 60 days of work, final $500 after 90 days of work.
**PURPOSE AND SCOPE**
The Material Handler is primarily responsible for ensuring that warehouse inventory is accurate, orderly and complete in accordance with the direction provided by the Material Handling Team Leader.
**Essential Job Functions**
* Moves and transfers inventory in Microsoft Navision system.
* Maintains paper and electronic records.
* Cycles inventory to prevent expiration of product.
* Assists with receiving incoming shipments and loading trucks for outgoing shipment, and ensuring that pallets are placed in the appropriate bin location.
* Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes.
* Pulls stock requests for production
* Assists with control of stock movements.
* Assists with stocking of finished goods from kit production once released by QC/QA.
* Operates pallet jacks.
* Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
* Ensures the inherent safety of the warehouse facility and operations.
* Assist with other shipping and warehousing duties as assigned.
* Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
* High school degree, GED or 1 to 2 years of related experience.
* Basic math and reading skills.
* Computer skills (Microsoft Office programs).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Able to follow written and verbal instruction.
* Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
* Ability to perform repetitive motions and lifting up to 50 lbs, primarily utilizing upper body extremities.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Good hand-eye coordination.
* Able to push/pull pallets and carts.
* Must be able to work overtime hours as required.
