What you'll do
We are looking for interns to join our innovative team! You'll work on a team comprised of experienced engineers and interns to develop internal tools to support configuration of the access networks that power our global Internet service. Interns will interact with multiple software and systems engineering teams to solicit feedback and demonstrate your work.
Your work will help streamline the productivity of our system integration teams, ultimately leading to faster innovation in our products.
The day-to-day
Day-to-day you will:
- Write code for graphical user interfaces
- Write tests for your code using a unit testing framework
- Demonstrate your progress to team members
- Experience coaching and mentoring from seasoned software engineers
What you'll need- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- Ability to write software in a language that supports graphical user interfaces
- Personal experience using graphical interfaces
- Ability to commit to a 10-12 week summer internship
What will help you on the job- Familiarity with json and jsonschema
- Experience with python
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to ask for help when you are stuck
Salary range $21 - $66 / hourly
