Corsica Partners is seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Director of Advanced Systems and Software Technology out of Pennsylvania for a Client company. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in driving the organization s technological advancement and guiding the department s innovation portfolio. You will utilize your proven leadership capability to directly manage a group of highly skilled subject matter experts. Additionally, you will oversee several other groups such as our advanced systems engineering team and systems and software architecture group. Your impact will be the continued progression of this company's software development methods.


Responsibilities

  • Advancing the state of our software development practices, driving efficiency and quality
  • Owning the software department research roadmap, ensuring the company is tracking, monitoring, and testing software technologies that enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Acting as the functional manager for the architecture and advanced engineering groups within the software department
  • Working closely with the residential and commercial product teams to understand the market and product landscape for smart control systems
  • Identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation in our connected systems by exploring emerging systems and technology trends
  • Promoting a culture of innovation, creativity, and exploration within the software engineering team and across the organization
  • Staying updated with the latest industry advancements and assessing their potential applications within the company's ecosystem


Qualifications

  • Bachelor s or Master s Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering
  • Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.0 for each degree earned
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated success in driving innovation and implementing advanced technologies in software development
  • In-depth knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns
  • Proven background in advancing software development practices, including agile methodologies, automation, and CI/CD
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members towards a shared vision
  • Sound business acumen, understanding the link between technology, product development, and overall business success
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and a drive to stay at the forefront of industry trends
  • Ability to relocate to Pennsylvania within first year of employment
